Probably built in 1916, in the post WW1 years it remained airworthy in Belgium, initially registered 'O-BELA' and later 'OO-ELA'.
It flew to the UK in 1936 and carried out a few displays before becoming part of the Nash collection.
It passed to the RAF Museum with the rest of the Nash collection in 1964.
It moved to Hendon for the opening of the museum in 1972 and has been at Hendon ever since.
