The Template:Get Austria location code determines the numeric code for a location (district, city or town) in the nation of Austria, as used with the interwiki Austria-population templates.

Usage:    {{Get Austria location code| name}}

{{Get Austria location code| Vienna}} → 9

{{Get Austria location code| Innsbruck}} → 70101

Those numeric location codes are used to connect place codes to each population count stored in the Austria-population templates:

If the name of a location is not recognized, then the value zero (0) is returned for that name. Because there are only 2,470 town names, the lookup is relatively quick.
