Template:Infobox boxer provides a quick overview of the most sought after information of a boxer in an easy to view sideframe to the article proper. The infobox is intended for all current, retired and dead boxers.

Parameters

• name — Common name
• image — Image name, if available. Examples: abc.jpg, xpz.png, 123.gif, etc.
• image_size — Size to display image, in px. This parameter should not normally need to be set.
• alt — Alt text for image. See WP:ALT.
• caption — Caption for image, if needed. Include date of photo, if known.
• realname — Full name; only use if different from name listed above.
• nickname — Most common nicknames
• weight — Currently published weight class. For retired and dead boxers, most commonly listed weight class (conversions are automatic but {{convert}} may be used)
• height — Listed height (conversions are automatic but {{convert}} may be used)
• reach — Published reach (conversions are automatic but {{convert}} may be used)
• nationality — Nationality
• birth_date — Date of birth, use of {{birth date and age}} (if living) or {{birth date}} (if dead) is encouraged
• birth_place — City of birth, with country if different from nationality
• death_date — Date of death, use {{death date and age}} (if birth date is known) or {{death date}} (if birth date unknown).
• death_place — Place of death
• style — Stance
• total — Total number of fights
• wins — Total number of wins
• KO — Total number of Knock Outs
• losses — Total number of losses
• draws — Total number of draws
• no contests — Total number of no contests
• medaltemplates — All templates from the medal record infobox except {{MedalTableTop}} and {{MedalBottom}}. Place the medal templates in the order stated in the medal templates documentation, and arrange the competitions alphabetically by name.
• show-medals — If show-medals=no, the medal table is collapsed. By default, it is expanded.

Microformat

The HTML markup produced by this template includes an hCard microformat, which makes the person's details parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue articles across Wikipedia or via a browser tool operated by a reader, to (for example) add the subject to an address book or database. For more information about the use of microformats on Wikipedia, please see the microformat project.

Sub-templates

Date-of-birth ("bday") information will only be included in the microformat if {{birth date}}, or {{birth date and age}} are used in the infobox. (Do not use these if the date is before 1583). Be cautious about using these if the person is still living, per WP:DOB.

To include a URL, use {{URL}}.

Please do not remove instances of these sub-templates.
